Martins Okonkwo, widely known as Perry Martins, is a Nigerian media, music and creative technology entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience building platforms at the intersection of gospel entertainment, digital music and internet infrastructure. He holds a Master's degree in Media and Mass Communications Management and a Diploma in Innovation Management.
In 2009 he founded Gospotainment.com, one of the earliest gospel entertainment blogs in Nigeria, followed in 2013 by Gospotainment Radio, one of the country's first online radio stations. He was also host and producer of The Gospotainment Show, a gospel entertainment TV series featuring interviews with gospel music artists, for years. In December 2021, the platform rebranded to Gospelbuzz to reflect an expanded, pan‑African, faith‑based media vision. Over the years he has personally authored an extensive archive of gospel music journalism, artist interviews and devotionals on the platform, spanning more than 1,000 pages.
He went on to found Gotright Technologies (now Gotright Innovation Ltd), an internet media company providing online radio hosting and streaming infrastructure to radio stations and content creators. Under Gotright, he launched the earliest version of Yivera in November 2020, and in July 2023 relaunched it as an expanded music business infrastructure and digital distribution platform — today he serves as its Co‑founder and CEO.
He is an alumnus of the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Foundation (TEF) and the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) West Africa, and a member of the Thomson Foundation. He is the author of Discover and Nurture Your Talents into a Successful Business: Let's Make the Talent Pay the Bills, and hosts the podcast Life With Perry Martins, exploring life, faith, business and convictions. He serves as a Director of Gotright Limited, a UK‑registered entity (Companies House No. 16980018). Yivera is registered in Delaware, USA as Yivera Co. He is also the Founder and First President of the International Association of Christian Media Practitioners (IACMP), a non‑profit association for Christian media practitioners in Nigeria.
